Rivet SRT Basics: Encryption

SRT Encryption and Stream ID settings help ensure you are the only one who can decode your Rivet streams. 

The SRT Stream ID is an additional security option available to add to your Rivet stream.

Click in the Stream ID field under the Contributor Camera section and type in an alphanumeric stream ID. Then type in the same ID in your decoder for it to receive the stream.

If your decoder doesn’t have a Stream ID section, then just leave this field blank.

Click on the checkbox next to Encryption to enable the encryption settings. Select the Type dropdown menu to pick a level of encryption. Make sure it is compatible with your decoder.

Click in the Passphrase field and type an alphanumeric password. 

You will need to add the same password in your decoder for it to receive the stream.
