Rivet App
The Rivet App allows contributors to join streams from all around the world. The app is available on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
You can Launch the app from Rivet Dashboard or open the app manually and paste in the Rivet ID.
For Contributor Camera Streams, each app version will have a dropdown menu to select a Video Source, Audio Source, and Resolution. Resolutions will only appear if they are supported by the selected Video Source.
Video Sources can include webcams, video outputs from softwares like vMix, and NDI streams.
Rivet will recognize any NDI streams as long as the devices are on the same network as the NDI source.
A preview of the video source is displayed at the top of the menu on the desktop versions. Mobile versions do not show a preview
Audio Sources include microphones, bluetooth devices, and audio outputs from NDI streams.
Toggle on Backup File Recording / Record to save a recording of the stream on the device.
On the desktop apps, click on Choose Backup File Location to route where you want to save the recording.
Recordings for the mobile apps will be saved to the Photos app. You’ll get a prompt the first time you enable recording on the app to allow Rivet to access your photos. Select Allow Access to All Photos. You only need to do this once.
